Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking an experienced obstetric nurse for a fulltime position in Templeton, CA. The role covers antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care, with an emphasis on safe, high‑quality maternal and newborn outcomes.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans with the team, monitor maternal and fetal status, and respond to obstetric emergencies. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education and clinical experience required for obstetric nursing.
• BSN preferred for broader scope and leadership potential.
• L&D experience required to manage antepartum through postpartum care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periods.
• Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments.
• Develop and implement multidisciplinary care plans with the team.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well‑being and recognize obstetric complications.
• Demonstrate competency in obstetric emergencies including cesarean sections.
• Circulate in the OR to assist with cesarean procedures as needed.
• Manage labor pain with pharmacological and non‑pharmacological methods.
• Educate patients and families across pregnancy, delivery and newborn care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions and outcomes.
• Perform safety checks and quality assurance activities in the unit.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff within scope of practice.

Education

Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) - Preferred
