Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine seeks a Quality Improvement Registered Nurse to lead statewide maternal and infant health QI initiatives across Virginia. You will partner with birthing hospitals, health leaders, and public health partners to implement AIM Patient Safety Bundles and grant-funded projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• 1-3 years of professional experience in maternal/infant health or public health.
• 1 year of experience in quality improvement or implementation science.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Superior interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support quality improvement projects across the VNPC initiatives.
• Provide coaching and technical assistance to hospitals implementing QI projects.
• Serve as clinical SME for QI programs and grant deliverables.
• Contribute to grant planning, evaluation, and reporting.
• Develop content for clinical communications and newsletters.
