Job summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health seeks a Statistical Analyst (Maternal Mortality Research Assistant) for the Central District. You will collect and analyze data using established methods, verify accuracy, identify trends, and prepare reports as directed.

This restricted position is funded by ERASE MM through June 30, 2029. Occasional travel within the state or nationally may be required; strong data management and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of database management and data quality assurance techniques.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Word.
• Ability to travel within the state or nationally for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data using established research methods and statistical techniques.
• Verify data accuracy, identify trends, develop projections and prepare reports.
• May lead other support staff on projects.
• Interact with staff and data end users to meet user needs.
