Job summary

NYU Langone Health in Manhattan, NYU Grossman School of Medicine, seeks an Ultrasound Technologist (FGP) to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Cardiac specialties under supervision.

The role requires ARDMS, 5 years of specialty ultrasound experience, and completion of an approved ultrasound program; fetal echo certification is preferred. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registration required; able to perform diagnostic ultrasound.
• Five years of experience in a specialty capacity required.
• Graduation from an approved ultrasound technology program; fetal echo certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Alerts medical staff of abnormalities requiring immediate attention and documents findings.
• Performs additional duties as assigned and writes reports upon completion of the scan.
• Interacts with patients, explains procedures, and ensures privacy throughout the exam.
• Documents scans per departmental procedures and maintains patient data accurately.
• Uses high-technology equipment to produce scans and determine if additional imaging is needed.
• Navigates and performs advanced scans using appropriate equipment.
