Qualifications

• Registered as an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
• Five years of experience in a specialty capacity required.
• Completion of an approved ultrasound technology educational program.
• Fetal Echo certification preferred.
• College graduate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Alerts medical staff of abnormalities requiring immediate attention and compares current echocardiograms with previous studies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Explains procedures to patients and ensures privacy at all times.
• Writes reports and documents scans, entering all pertinent patient data.
• Uses technical equipment to perform scans and determine if further imaging is needed.
• Navigates and performs advanced scans using appropriate equipment.
