Job summary

Advantia Health is seeking a compassionate Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician to join our teams in Silver Spring, MD and Northern Virginia. The role emphasizes outpatient MFM with some inpatient consultations, supported by a high-caliber clinical team.

The candidate will perform complex OB/GYN care, ultrasound interpretation, and contribute to quality improvements with state-of-the-art technology. An active MD license in MD/VA/DC is preferred.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in General Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Board Certified or Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
• Previous experience in a Maternal-Fetal Medicine role is preferred.
• Active Medical License in MD/VA/DC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform both minor and major surgical procedures.
• Prevent, diagnose, and treat a full range of OB/GYN conditions.
• Provide leadership to medical staff ensuring adherence to procedures and protocols.
• Support enhancements of technology to improve patient care and experience.
• Conduct patient examinations, obtain histories, and order and interpret tests.
• Participate in internal quality-improvement initiatives and collaborate with team members.
• Maternal-Fetal Medicine role is primarily outpatient, with some inpatient consultations.
• Work Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts with a skilled clinical team.
• Manage high-volume ultrasound services including fetal echocardiograms and first-trimester screenings.
• Antenatal assessment interpretation including NST and biophysical profile.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform both minor and major surgical procedures.

• Prevent, diagnose, and treat a full range of OB/GYN conditions.

• Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to medical staff-including nurses, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants-ensuring adherence to proper procedures and protocols.

• Support enhancements of technology to drive higher quality and consumer experience while maintaining clinical quality.

• Conduct patient examinations, obtain medical histories, and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.

• Participate actively in internal quality-improvement initiatives and collaborate with team members to drive proactive improvements.

• Maternal-Fetal Medicine role is primarily outpatient, with some inpatient consultations.

• Work Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, supported by a highly skilled clinical team.

• Manage high-volume ultrasound services, including interpreting fetal echocardiograms, first-trimester screenings, fetal anatomic surveys, and performing amniocentesis (CVS experience valued but not required).

• Antenatal assessment interpretation including NST, biophysical profile

Qualifications:

• Board certified in General Obstetrics and Gynecology

• Board Certified or Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine

• Previous experience in a Maternal-Fetal Medicine role is preferred.

• Active Medical License in the State of Maryland/Virginia/DC is strongly preferred.

Annual Compensation Range based on years of experience: $325,000 -$475,000
