Job summary

Advantia Health is seeking a compassionate Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician for our Silver Spring, MD and Alexandria, VA offices. The role emphasizes outpatient MFMs with some inpatient consultations, leading a skilled clinical team and advancing women’s health through technology-enabled care.

You will perform OB/GYN procedures, interpret diagnostics, and contribute to quality-improvement initiatives within a patient-centered environment that values care and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology with MFMs required or eligible.
• Experience in maternal-fetal medicine preferred.
• Maryland/Virginia/DC license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform OB/GYN and maternal-fetal medicine procedures.
• Diagnose and treat a full range of OB/GYN conditions.
• Provide leadership and oversight to medical staff to ensure protocols.
• Support enhancements of technology to improve quality of care.
• Conduct patient examinations, histories, and order/interpret tests.
• Participate in internal quality-improvement initiatives.
• Outpatient MFMs with some inpatient consultations.
• Manage high-volume ultrasound services and fetal assessments.
• Interpret fetal echocardiograms and NSTs.

We are seeking a compassionate, team-oriented physician who prioritizes patient care, delivers exceptional experiences, and stays at the forefront of women's health innovations. This opportunity is at both our Silver Spring, MD location and Alexandria, VA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform both minor and major surgical procedures.

• Prevent, diagnose, and treat a full range of OB/GYN conditions.

• Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to medical staff-including nurses, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants-ensuring adherence to proper procedures and protocols.

• Support enhancements of technology to drive higher quality and consumer experience while maintaining clinical quality.

• Conduct patient examinations, obtain medical histories, and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.

• Participate actively in internal quality-improvement initiatives and collaborate with team members to drive proactive improvements.

• Maternal-Fetal Medicine role is primarily outpatient, with some inpatient consultations.

• Work Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, supported by a highly skilled clinical team.

• Manage high-volume ultrasound services, including interpreting fetal echocardiograms, first-trimester screenings, fetal anatomic surveys, and performing amniocentesis (CVS experience valued but not required).

• Antenatal assessment interpretation including NST, biophysical profile

Qualifications:

• Board certified in General Obstetrics and Gynecology

• Board Certified or Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine

• Previous experience in a Maternal-Fetal Medicine role is preferred.

• Active Medical License in the State of Maryland/Virginia/DC is strongly preferred.

Annual Compensation Range based on years of experience: $325,000 -$475,000
