Job summary

Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine in Billings, MT, seeks a Physician‑MFM to join our renowned division providing care to high‑risk pregnancies across six states. One of two MFMs based at St.

Vincent Hospital in Billings, you’ll be supported by partners from Salt Lake City with consultative outpatient care and telehealth options. Travel to Utah every 2–3 months for collaboration and education is required; call is 1:4–1:5, with optional inpatient care.

Qualifications

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
• U.S. ACGME OB/GYN Residency and MFM Fellowship.
• Active, unobstructed Montana medical license, or ability to obtain one.
• Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA license, or ability to obtain one.
• Successful completion of Intermountain Health’s credentialing process.

• Care Coordination: Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, genetic counselors, and nurses on care plans.
• Labor and Delivery Support: Support high‑risk assessments and assist with deliveries when needed.
• Education and Research: Teach and mentor learners and contribute to clinical research and quality improvement.

Job Overview

As a Physician in Maternal‑Fetal Medicine, you will join our nationally renowned MFM Division providing comprehensive care to high‑risk pregnancies across six states.

Responsibilities

• Consultative Care Provide expert consultation for high‑risk pregnancies, managing complex maternal conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and autoimmune disorders.
• Advanced Diagnostics Perform and interpret specialized imaging tests, including detailed fetal ultrasounds, fetal echocardiograms, and Doppler studies to assess fetal anatomy, growth, and blood flow.
• Procedural Expertise Conduct invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures, including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and fetal blood sampling.
• Care Coordination Work with general obstetricians, neonatologists, genetic counselors, registered dietitians, and nurses to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Labor and Delivery Support Support labor and delivery teams with high‑risk assessments and, when required, manage the delivery of the baby.
• Education and Research Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, and contribute to clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.
• Practice Details One of two MFMs based primarily at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, supported by traveling partners from Salt Lake City; consultative out‑patient care; telehealth virtual consults; unrestricted call 1:4–1:5 shared with the larger MFM team; travel to Utah every 2–3 months for collaboration and education; optional inpatient care.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting bonus: $30,000
• Relocation assistance: Up to $20,000
• Guaranteed salary: $583,000.00 with additional productivity and quality incentives
