Job summary

Walbec Group is seeking an MTC Technician I in Wisconsin to conduct materials sampling and testing with precision and safety, following QMS, SOPs and agency specs.

You will perform sampling and standardized testing to AASHTO/ASTM, input data into LIMS, communicate results to stakeholders, and help maintain equipment and safety standards.

Strong computer skills, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50–70 pounds are required. Local travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficient computer skills and data entry
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Must be able to frequently lift 50–70 lbs and conduct tests in-lab/on-site
• Adherence to safety guidelines and documentation of results
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and data systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling and standardized testing according to AASHTO, ASTM, and/or customer specifications
• Strictly adhere to SOPs for all tasks
• Complete accurate standard mathematical computations per testing procedures
• Input data into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Communicate and document test results to stakeholders
• Document all sampling, testing, and subsequent actions
• Analyze test outcomes and assist in process control adjustments
• Ensure equipment functionality and calibrations as per schedule
• Oversee maintenance and mark out malfunctioning equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and professional standards of equipment and facilities
• Engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders
• Value safety and ethics in all tasks
• Undertake any other duties as assigned
