Job summary

The Thrasher Group in Canton, OH is seeking a skilled Material Testing Project Representative to join our field team. This role focuses on sampling and testing construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and soil, with daily site access and travel to various locations.

You will interpret civil plans, document findings in clear reports, and pursue relevant certifications (OSHA 10, First Aid, CPR; ACI or WVDOH) to advance your technical expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience in field sampling and testing of construction materials (concrete, asphalt, aggregate, soil).
• OSHA 10, First Aid, CPR certifications are highly desirable.
• ACI or WVDOH testing certifications are valuable.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling and field testing on construction materials including concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and soil.
• Interpret civil construction plans and specifications.
• Adapt to varying project locations on a daily basis.
• Communicate findings effectively through clear, accurate written reports.
• Pursue certification courses to continuously build skills and technical knowledge.
• Accommodate periodic out-of-town project stays as needed.

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Material Testing Project Representative to join our Canton, OH office. This is a field-focused role that is central to the quality and success of our construction projects, and a great fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
