Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager to lead field services projects from proposal through completion, coordinating testing, reporting, budgeting, and client communications.

You will mentor junior staff, manage field teams, ensure adherence to ASTM standards, and develop client relationships to support business growth.

Qualifications

4 years of related experience is required.
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology.
Strong communication and project management skills are essential.
Good knowledge of construction materials testing principles and ASTM standards.
Ability to interpret field and laboratory testing results and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

Manage construction materials testing projects from proposal through completion.
Review daily field reports and resolve technical and administrative issues.
Manage budgets, invoices, pay applications, and collections.
Prepare proposals and change orders.
Coordinate field staff and provide training and oversight.
Communicate with clients regarding status, deliverables and follow-up actions.
Mentor junior staff and support team development.
Ensure accurate and timely project documentation and reporting.
