Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year experience in a distribution or manufacturing warehouse environment.
  • Forklift operation experience for at least one year.

Howmet Fastening Systems seeks a Materials Technician II for our IDG Shipping Department (1st Shift). The role involves picking and processing orders for shipment based on sales orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Pick orders from designated warehouse locations.
  • Use highlighted pick list information for tasks such as verifying lot number, certificate of conformance, material test reports, country of origin, or special labels.
  • Check order accuracy, including part number, quantity, and special instructions.
  • Package items securely to minimize transit damage.
  • Use shipping software (e.g., UPS, FedEx) to process shipments.
  • For truck shipments, use the Best Shipper program to select carriers and complete Bill of Lading.
  • Load trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Follow safety and environmental standards in all activities.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

  • Preferred certification to process export shipments.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and performing routine math calculations.
