Job summary

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodlands Parkway is seeking a motivated Materials Tech to manage procurement, receiving, stocking, and documentation. The role supports Accounts Payable by preparing invoice packets and ensuring smooth flow of supplies to the OR and treatment areas.

The ideal candidate has strong inventory control skills, prior health care experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Two years minimum receiving and inventory experience; in a health care environment preferred.
  • Strong customer service background.
  • Strong math and counting skills required.
  • Type minimum of 40 wpm preferred.
  • Computer experience required (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel preferred).
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare appropriate documentation for product returns to vendors
  • Transfers products between departments
  • Receives purchases orders
  • Receives products into Materials Management Information System
  • Stocks storeroom and readies stock for distribution
  • Verifies and documents all deliveries of supplies, equipment and various goods to the hospital
  • Maintains log of departments receiving goods

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodlands Parkway is seeking a motivated Materials Tech to join our team. We have 4 OR rooms and 1 treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedics, Neurology, ENT, Pain Management, Podiatry, Plastic Surgery. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Job Summary

The Materials Technician is responsible for the procurement of all supplies. The responsibility of the position includes ordering and receiving of supplies, stocking supplies and assisting Accounts Payable with invoice packets.We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic person.
