Job summary

NVR is seeking a Materials Supervisor at the Fayetteville, NC plant to manage material records, optimize inventory, and support customer service goals. The role leads a team of Planners and support staff, driving continuous improvement of materials processes.

Responsibilities include executing the Materials strategy, coordinating with suppliers and leadership, and maintaining key metrics while ensuring compliance and staffing. Travel to other NVR plants may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• Inventory control or supply chain experience.
• Excellent problem-analysis and critical thinking abilities.
• Experience in team settings with a focus on Customer Service.
• Outstanding reliability with strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to drive improvements and coach/develop others.
• Ability to multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and conflict management skills.
• Willingness to travel to other NVR plants as needed.

Responsibilities

• Balance customer demand with materials spend and optimize inventory balances.
• Reduce inventory levels while maintaining or improving customer service and reducing costs.
• Develop ideas to improve operational efficiency and execute the Materials strategy.
• Maintain Lumber Stat Page and other key Materials metrics.
• Support supplier performance and manage supplier relationships with Procurement.
• Ensure cycle count program compliance with policies and audits.
• Assist in planning and managing semiannual plant-wide physical inventories.
• Lead and mentor assigned department personnel and develop coaching programs.
