Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in materials leadership.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• CPIM (APICS) or CMQ/OE credential is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervise materials team: scheduling, reviews, corrective action, training, and timecards.
• Oversee inventory processes and cycle count program.
• Manage warehouse operations and ensure ERP integrity from receipt to consumption.
• Oversee shipping and receiving activities.
• Assist with quarterly and yearly physical inventory counts.
• Lead hiring, training, evaluation, retention and termination responsibilities.
• Create and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support EH&S objectives by identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Foster continuous improvement to reduce waste and boost efficiency.
• Adopt lean principles and reduce working capital waste.
• Plan lean manufacturing to meet market demand with high-quality output.
• Use just-in-time inventory methods to streamline processes.
• Participate in budget prep and monitor expenditures.
• Lead production meetings to discuss targets vs actuals and updates to MPS.

• Supervise a team of materials employees, including scheduling, completing performance reviews, issuing corrective action, training, and timecard approvals.
• Oversee all inventory processes, including development and implementation of a cycle count program.
• Oversee warehouse operations.
• Ensure transactional integrity for material in ERP from receipt to consumption to customer.
• Oversee shipping and receiving activities.
• Assist with quarterly and yearly physical inventory counts.
• Assume employee hiring, training, performance evaluation, retention, and termination responsibilities.
• Create and track key performance indicators.
• Contribute to EH&S objectives by proactively identifying potential issues and providing positive root cause problem identification and corrective action.
• Foster an environment of continuous improvement to eliminate waste and drive efficiency.

• Adopt lean principles and avoid strains on working capital by reducing waste and focusing on being a sales-driven company.
• Create a structured approach to planning for a lean manufacturing environment to generate high-quality products at a pace that matches market demand.
• Streamline processes to increase production efficiency and reduce inventory by using just-in-time inventory methods.
• Participate in budget preparation and administration, monitoring and controlling expenditures.
• Develop planning tools and frameworks to obtain approval from main stakeholders.
• Lead production meetings to assess target vs. actual and convey changes or updates to the MPS.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proven materials leadership experience.
• Understanding of and experience with lean manufacturing principles.
• CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management) credential offered by APICS or CMQ/OE (Certified Manager of Organizational/Quality Excellence) is highly desired.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, engineering, or a related field is required. Minimum of five years of experience.
