Baptist Health is seeking a Materials Supervisor at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, AL, to oversee med/surg supply PAR levels and inventories. The role ensures accurate orders, fill rates, backorders, and rerouting with contracted vendors, and coordinates special/emergency deliveries.
You will schedule deliveries, liaise with Materials Management and hospital staff, supervise stocking, and ensure expired products are rotated out.

The Supervisor, Materials shall be responsible for the development and maintenance of adequate PAR levels for med/surg supplies, to coordinate inventories of those supplies, and replenish supplies to the Nursing units. This individual will work with Baptist contracted vendors for distribution to ensure the accuracy of orders, fill rates, backorders, and items needing rerouting. Additionally, the Supervisor will coordinate and expedite the delivery of special/emergency supply orders, as well as to arrange transportation of products to and from other facilities as necessary, via Baptist Courier or Warehouse staff. The Supervisor will schedule delivery and pick-up times for any product/equipment, via UPS, FEDEX, or FREIGHT LINE CARRIER. This individual will participate in nursing huddles, leadership council, and Management meetings as needed. The Supervisor shall act as a liaison between the Materials Management team and hospital staff. The Supervisor will also ensure that the stock in the Materials Management area is rotated and checked for expired products. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in a distribution setting. Preferably in a healthcare setting.

Position requires standing, lifting, pushing or pulling 80% of the time. Requires sitting 20% of the time. Requires lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds. Requires reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching. There is a need for speaking with clear distinction and hearing sensitivity in conversation by either phone or in person.
