Job summary

Miller Edge is seeking a detail-oriented Material Specialist to manage material flow across our supply chain. You will handle purchasing, inventory accuracy, cycle counts, ERP transactions, and weekly transfers between PA and Tempe facilities.

You will work with suppliers, production teams, and warehouse staff to ensure materials are available, tracked, and moved efficiently, maintaining strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in inventory control, purchasing, materials handling, or related roles.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and basic computer applications, plus analytical and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create, issue, and track purchase orders for raw materials, components, and supplies.
  • Communicate with vendors on pricing, delivery dates, and lead times.
  • Maintain accurate supplier and purchasing data within the ERP system.
  • Monitor open orders and address delays or shortages.
  • Assist in sourcing alternate suppliers or materials when needed.
  • Support scheduled cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system.
  • Recommend stocking level adjustments based on usage and trends.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory variances.
  • Oversee weekly inventory transfers from the PA facility to Tempe, AZ.
  • Ensure all receipts, adjustments, and issues are accurately recorded.
  • Identify and correct transaction errors or discrepancies.
  • Assist with receiving, labeling, stocking, and organizing materials.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor material requirements and ensure adequate stock levels for production.
  • Coordinate material movement between warehouses, production, and external vendors.
  • Maintain accurate material records in the ERP/MRP system.

Position Summary
