Job summary

FUJIFILM Biotechnologies in Holly Springs, NC, seeks a Raw Material Sampler 2 to support sampling of materials and products in a GMP facility. You’ll transfer materials, gown, perform sampling per specifications, and help maintain inventory for throughput.

This role collaborates with Warehouse, QC and Supply Chain, uses SAP and LIMS, and participates in continuous improvement. A High School Diploma with experience or an associate/bachelor in Life Sciences qualifies, with training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4 years related experience in a manufacturing, sampling, or lab environment.
• Associate’s Degree in Life Sciences or similar area with 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing, sampling, or lab environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or similar area
• Military experience of equivalence
• Prior experience operating industrial trucks
• Experience with ERPs and LIMS, SAP and Labware
• Previous GMP experience with manufacturing, weigh and dispense, or raw material sampling
• Experience training other associates
• Experience with analytical and bench top scales
• Bioworks or BTEC Capstone cGMP coursework

Responsibilities

• Transfers materials into and out of Raw Material Sampling using powered or manual industrial trucks (PIT).
• Performs Grade D gowning and material transfers.
• Performs sampling operations per material specifications.
• Identifies and maintains inventory levels for efficient sample throughput and scheduling.
• Collaborates with other departments (e.g., Warehouse, QC, Supply Chain).
• Uses analytical and bench top scales in sampling booths.
• Identifies issues in operations, equipment, systems, procedures, and initiates corrective action for resolution.
• Assists with training associates in Raw Material Sampling operations.
• Basic knowledge of sampling processes and procedures.
• Basic use of SAP and LIMS.
• Interfaces with warehouse and supervision.
• Executes cycle counting material in Raw Material Sampling.
• ERP knowledge for ordering and receiving materials from the Warehouse.
• Attends department GEMBA and safety walks.
• Supports departmental continuous improvement efforts.
• Other duties, as assigned
