Job summary

nVent is seeking a Materials Runner to support our manufacturing team with reliable material flow, crate building, and a clean work environment. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and cost-consciousness in a dynamic production setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong reading/comprehension skills, and the ability to communicate across all levels. A valid Wisconsin driver’s license and forklift certification are advantageous to candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret general business materials and regulations.
• Effective verbal and written communication across the organization.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Proficiency in mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to interpret diverse instructions.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Valid Wisconsin Driver's License.
• Forklift certification and ERP system knowledge are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve parts and materials for installers.
• Replenish carts with materials daily.
• Load pipe racks and cut/stage insulation as required.
• Manage material flow in current and future ERP system.
• Coordinate pallets/crates for return to suppliers and dispose of non-returnables.
• Build crates for service and warranty as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and support team goals.
