Job summary

Belden Inc. in Washington state is hiring for a materials handler to receive, inspect, and deliver supplies for production. You will verify quantities, process receipts, and support purchasing and QC teams to ensure accurate inventories.

The role requires forklift operation, attention to detail, and familiarity with blueprints and common shipping practices. This is a hands-on position in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane is REQUIRED.
  • Strong math skills with attention to detail.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience involving product inspection.
  • Knowledge of common shipping practices.
  • Good computer skills a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and web-based programs.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify ALL incoming materials/supplies.
  • Use testing/inspection procedures to verify quality and quantity.
  • Cross reference packing slips to purchase orders and notify shortages.
  • Electronically process all received materials/supplies.
  • Pull raw material for production and organize by job number.
  • Reconcile inventory counts and assist with duties.
  • Assist QC inspectors with process inspections.
  • Unload trailers and ensure accuracy of incoming shipments.
  • Enter requisitions for supplies through the company’s procurement system.
