Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality Specialist in Pinetops, NC to uphold safety, quality and productivity standards. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the role is onsite and focuses on testing protocols, results analysis, and maintaining lab procedures.

You will verify epoxy/urethane formulations, manage CAPA, conduct internal audits, and support QMS controls for customer and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Chemical Laboratory Analyst or related field preferred with 2+ years experience.
• Lab experience with test methods such as viscosity, density, gel time.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical verification of epoxy/urethane systems per specifications.
• Lead CAPA and root-cause analysis; update control plans for improvement.
• Plan internal audits and maintain ISO 9001 compliance; ensure traceability.
