Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems seeks a Materials & Processes Engineering Branch Manager in Huntsville, AL. You will lead the M&P roadmap, serve as Solution Architect, and coordinate with other divisions to address customer needs across multiple programs.

You will mentor staff, oversee staffing and hiring, and influence program direction while ensuring robust engineering and manufacturing capabilities. A senior leadership role with broad impact.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering or similar.
• 15+ years total experience for PhD, 10+ for MS, 12+ for BS in relevant fields.
• 5+ years leading technical teams and 3+ years of direct personnel management.
• Experience in project management including cost, schedule, and technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Set M&P roadmap for Advanced Materials & Test Division and serve as Solution Architect.
• Lead IRaD efforts and connect M&P support with product development teams.
• Mentor and develop team members and manage staffing needs and hiring.
