Job summary

Lantech, a world leader in stretch wrapping technology, is hiring for an on-site warehouse role in the Louisville area. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour. You will pull parts from inventory, manage storage locations, maintain Kanban, print pull lists, and investigate part shortages to ensure smooth production.

The job requires standing 9.5 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working overtime as needed. Ideal candidates have prior warehouse experience, are fluent in English, and demonstrate strong

Responsibilities

• Pull parts per bill of material from inventory for production process.
• Present parts per machines panel layout.
• Put incoming parts into storage location and document.
• Maintain the Kanban system.
• Print pull lists and use to research part shortages as they relate to bills of materials to determine root cause.
• Track all quality issues on Quality Loop board.
• Work with Inventory Leader on obsolete and slow-moving items in inventory.
• Perform stock verifications and research root causes for discrepancies.
• Responsible for 5S of component grocery and materials area.
• Multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Stand for 9.5 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and walk around all day.

Here’s a Glimpse at What you'll Do:

Pull parts per bill of material from inventory for production process. Present parts per machines panel layout. Put incoming parts into storage location and document. Maintain the Kanban system. Print pull lists and use to research part shortages as they relate to bills of materials to determine root cause. Track all quality issues on Quality Loop board. Work with Inventory Leader on obsolete and slow-moving items in inventory. Perform stock verifications and research root causes for discrepancies. Responsible for 5S of component grocery and materials area. Perfect candidate must be able to multi task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical requirements include standing for 9.5 hours each day, lifting up to 50 lbs, and walking around all day.

• Is self-motivated multi-tasker willing to gain the experience with material presentation as it relates to one piece flow production.
• Ability to work overtime as needed for customer fulfillment.
• Is detail oriented with a strong commitment to quality, safety and able to work effectively within the fast-paced environment.
• Has the ability to stay focused and on task
• Has sustained record of good attendance.
• Has a high aptitude for working with situations of a manufacturing nature, effective use of time, and be capable of adapting to a varied work environment.
• Practices safe work habits as an individual and with co-workers.
• Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Is able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
• Is willing and able to work overtime to complete project and/or meet scheduling deadlines.
• Is customer focused with a strong commitment to quality and production schedule.
• Is legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Education & Experience:

• Prior materials or warehouse experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent is required (Additional training from vocational or trade school is a plus)
