P3 Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH in Dallas invites a Consultant (m/f/d) Materials Planning & Supply Chain Operations to help ensure material availability and optimize inventory for automotive or high-volume production clients. You will collaborate across manufacturing, purchasing, and logistics teams worldwide.

The role requires 3+ years in materials planning, strong MRP/ERP experience (SAP/Oracle), data-driven decision making, and willingness to travel up to 100%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in materials planning, production planning, supply chain operations, inventory management, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of MRP, inventory control, demand planning, and supply chain management principles.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar planning platforms.
• Ability to analyze large data sets and turn insights into actionable decisions.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers to ensure material availability.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of time.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory requirements to ensure material availability.
• Develop and maintain material requirements planning (MRP) processes to support production and demand.
• Manage planning parameters, lead times, safety stock, and inventory strategies.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages, excess inventory, and risks.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve disruptions.
• Expedite critical materials and drive recovery plans for shortages.
• Support S&OP and production planning activities.
• Collaborate with purchasing, supplier quality, manufacturing, engineering, and logistics teams.
• Coordinate engineering changes and material transitions.
• Analyze supplier performance and planning KPIs to identify improvements.
• Maintain accurate planning data within ERP and MRP systems.
• Drive continuous improvement in inventory management and material flow.
• Support ramp-ups and readiness activities and stabilize supply chain.
