Job summary

Techniplas is seeking a Materials Planner in Dalton, GA to manage material flow, planning, and scheduling to meet production and customer requirements. You will analyze forecasts, schedules, and inventory data, working with Purchasing, Production, and Supply Chain to prevent shortages and optimize inventories.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 2–4 years in materials planning or related fields, plus proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2-4 years in materials planning, production planning, or supply chain.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM certification is preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material requirements plans based on production schedules and inventory levels.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
• Place, expedite, and track purchase orders and work orders to support production schedules.
• Analyze demand trends and production data to identify shortages or supply risks.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve discrepancies.
• Align material availability with production schedules and adjust plans as priorities shift.
• Maintain ERP/MRP data such as lead times, safety stock, and reorder parameters.
• Track key metrics like inventory turns, fill rates, and on-time delivery.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for material issues.
• Participate in S&OP processes and provide input on material constraints.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning and reduce carrying costs.
• Assist with new product introductions and phase-in/phase-out planning.
