RTX in San Dimas, California is seeking a Material Planner to optimize inventory, forecast demand, and manage MRP inputs. You will collaborate across functions to support SIOP and drive improvements in forecast accuracy and cycle times, while supporting entitlement and inventory strategy. Travel up to 10% as needed.

Ideal candidates will have a University Degree, 2+ years in material planning or related fields, and proficiency with SAP MRP and BI tools. This role onsite in CA.

This role will be working onsite in San Dimas, California.

What You Will Do:

• Cross-collaborate to review inventory trends, drive actions to meet targets, and develop Material Planning (MP) parameters utilizing EMP/IE standards and enterprise policies.
• Provide MP parameter inputs to Master Data Planners including MRP types, minimum order quantities, and lot sizes.
• Support inventory forecasting, inclusive of input/output models and reason codes for inventory inaccuracy across Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods.
• Manage entitlement levels, present inventory rollups and executive insights, and generate KPI analyses.
• Drive continuous improvement by eliminating process gaps, enhancing forecast accuracy, shortening cycle times, and strengthening cross-functional handoffs.
• Track performance against financial plans and provide inventory inputs to the SIOP process.
• Manage forecasting for production-planned purchased parts and planning strategies including special stock and Non-Conforming Material oversight.
• Review Shelf Life Expiration reports and drive action on items at risk.
• Assess ECN (Engineering Change Notice) effectivity by checking whether changes to materials or assemblies are captured, and identify what actions current inventory requires as a result.
• Assist Program Management with CBOM proposals by confirming inventory availability.
• Support Engineering with GIDEP part searches and usage/PO lookups during obsolescence reviews.
• Support the coordination and execution of the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, ensuring alignment between operational capability, inventory levels, and business goals.
• Analyze inventory trends, consumption data, and planning parameters.

Travel up to 10%.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
• Experience in material planning, supply chain, or inventory control.
• Working experience of SAP MRP parameters and planning strategies.
• Must have a track record of clear communication and successful collaboration with cross-functional partners.
• Proficiency with Excel and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Understanding of EMP/IE standards, PFEP frameworks, and inventory entitlement.
• Aerospace or high-mix manufacturing experience.
• Experience executing E&O reviews, inventory clinics, or ABC strata alignment.
