Job summary

Thompsonpump is seeking a Materials Planner I to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to the production schedule. You will review schedules, confer with supervisors, and compile reports on progress, inventory levels, costs, and production issues.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• High school diploma is desired.
• Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, detailed correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write detailed correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to read and understand various service manuals, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.

Responsibilities

• Create, consume, and finish all IPWOs for pumps, panels, frames and general warehouse.
• Run IPWO B/O report and follow up with purchasing on any missing items.
• Consume production orders 1st pull.
• Run production B/O report and follow up with purchasing on any missing items.
• Communicate any missing product on Sharepoint that could potentially make our shipments late to our customers.
• Close production orders.
• Maintain firm planned & released orders.
• Communicate with Materials & Production managers.
• Produce and analyze reports for management team.
• Attend contract review meetings.
• Understand inventory flow process.
