Job summary

Heartland Food Products Group is seeking a Supply Chain Planning professional to manage material requirements for ingredients, packaging, and raw materials at our Indianapolis plant. You will balance forecasts, lead times, and inventory levels to support production and customer demand.

The role requires collaboration across Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, Quality, and IT to optimize supply chain performance. A bachelor's degree and 1 year of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 1 year of experience in material planning or related supply chain function preferred.
• Experience with MRP or production planning preferred.
• Knowledge of ingredients, packaging, and raw materials preferred.
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills to balance supply and demand.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material plans based on production schedules, forecasts and demand.
• Review inventory levels and open purchase orders to identify replenishment needs.
• Determine order quantities and delivery dates using lead times and safety stock.
• Coordinate with suppliers to support production schedules and prevent shortages.
• Monitor material availability and communicate potential issues to stakeholders.
• Use ERP systems for planning, inventory management, and reporting.
