NVR, Inc. seeks a Materials Planner in Thurmont, MD, to ensure timely material availability for production schedules. You will manage ordering, vendor coordination, and inventory controls to meet plant goals and quality standards.
The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, shop floor, and finance to optimize costs, lead times, and service levels while maintaining strong supplier relationships. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in related roles are preferred.
The Materials Planner is responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing plant has the proper materials available in a timely manner to meet production schedules. This includes purchasing materials within contractual lead-times and minimum order quantities from designated suppliers. This position is also responsible for minimizing cost and maximizing production efficiencies and quality of service, through efficient purchasing practices, material usage decision-making, inventory turns, and cross-plant coordination.
This role is located in our Thurmont, MD plant.
