Job summary

Aebi Schmidt Group in the United States (PA) is seeking a Material Planner to manage assigned parts, coordinate engineering changes, review MRP and release work orders to balance inventory with production needs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business and at least 3 years in manufacturing material planning, with strong MS Office and cross-functional leadership. We offer comprehensive benefits.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business is required or willingness to obtain with equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years material planning experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in building and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Intermediate computer skills are required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven knowledge (or ability to quickly learn) of company’s products and components.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned parts, including all problem resolution.
  • Coordinate engineering changes and build schedules with production to meet customer expectations while minimizing surplus exposure.
  • Analyze MRP daily and weekly to create releases.
  • Launch, schedule, defer, expedite, and cancel work orders to maintain inventory levels while supporting production material requirements.
  • Monitor and update work order lead-times for system accuracy.
  • Proactively confirm schedules against work orders and act if necessary.
  • Monitor shortage reports and create work orders to cover demand.
  • Obtain realistic build dates on shortages, follow-up as appropriate.
  • Validate and perform root cause analysis for incomplete work orders.
  • Proactively identify material shortages and implement appropriate actions internally to mitigate disruption risk.
  • Work with Purchasing and Operations to determine and implement inventory levels, minimum work order requirements, EOQ, and lead times.
  • Assist in inventory accuracy and inventory reduction including Min/Max systems.
  • Follow established procedures; initiate and implement improvements.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

What you’ll do:

  • Other tasks as assigned.
What you need to be successful:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business required (or willing to obtain with equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years material planning experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in building and leading cross‑functional teams.
