Job summary

Camaco in Lorain, Ohio seeks a Materials Planner to plan and monitor materials and outgoing finished goods, ensuring production continuity and timely shipments. You will manage MRP data, BOM integrity, inventory accuracy, and supplier performance, with a focus on risk mitigation and continuous improvement.

A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years manufacturing experience are required; Plex experience is a plus. This position is on-site at our Lorain facility, with competitive benefits and growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Materials/Purchasing, or equivalent education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting – automotive a plus.
• Knowledge and experience using an MRP system – Plex is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels.
• Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit.
• Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions.
• Day-today order management and management of deliveries.
• Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule.
• Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production.
• Implement all processes to agreed standards/targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
• Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system and ensure data is accurate, up to date, and resolve any issues as required.
• Monitor the integrity of BOM (Bills of Materials) and manage inventory accuracy.
• Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels.
• Support inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy.
• Create regular statistical reports and analysis.
