Vesuvius USA seeks a seasoned Raw Material Controller to coordinate material flow between suppliers and internally. You will create and maintain computerized movement records, estimate raw material quantities for mix orders, and support global material ordering when needed.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, JD Edwards, and Excel is essential. You will verify inventory, assist audits, and collaborate with plants to optimize inventory and procurement strategies.
Coordinating the flow of materials between various suppliers. Create and maintain computerized records of these movements. Computation of the amounts of material or items required for specific mix orders is a responsibility of the Raw Material Controller. Must have knowledge of product manufacturing and related processes to successfully estimate how much raw material is required. At times this position will also be responsible for material orders globally. Knowing how to create, compile and maintain computerized records is an essential job duty of the Raw Material Controller. Records need to be able to verify inventory numbers and locations and to have available in the instance of an audit. Various software programs will be utilized to help with inventory control.
Experience making CAD models and CAD drawings with full dimensioning and tolerancing
Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office is strongly preferred
Handle more than one assignment at a time and meet technical requirements and completion dates for each project.
Be able to gather information from others and to resolve issues when information appears to be conflicting.
Overcoming obstacles with creative thinking.
