Job summary

ALTOR is seeking a Material Handler in Massachusetts to ensure safe and accurate movement of materials within the facility. The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, inventory accuracy, and collaborating across departments to meet production needs. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift experience, and familiarity with Plex ERP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3–6 months of relevant experience.
• Must be able to read, write and understand basic math.
• 1+ years of forklift driving experience.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of Plex ERP system and inventory transactions.
• Demonstrated experience in driving efficiency improvements.
• Strong quality mindset and a drive for perfection.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials from delivery trucks and transport them to designated areas within the facility.
• Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Organize and maintain inventory levels.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment to move materials as needed.
• Ensure that all safety procedures are followed when handling materials.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
• Move materials to and from production cells to support continual production.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and proper locations of supplies.
• Assist on production lines as needed.
• Maintain quality compliance of product according to customer specifications.
• Participate in efficiency improvements throughout the plant.
• All other duties as assigned.
