Job summary

Caterpillar in Griffin, GA is seeking a Material Handler II to support production and inventory processes. You will move, store, and stage materials, perform put-aways, and use SAP and RF scanners to track materials.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely deliveries, with shift Mon-Thu 6:30am-5:00pm and overtime opportunities. Eligible employees receive comprehensive benefits and a competitive hourly pay range.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment as required.
• Familiarity with SAP and RF scanners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely move, stage, and deliver production material throughout the warehouse and manufacturing areas.
• Perform put away of received material into designated warehouse storage locations.
• Replenish material from warehouse storage to production and point-of-use locations based on manufacturing requirements.
• Pick, stage, and deliver components required to support production schedules.
• Respond to material requests and support timely delivery of parts needed by Operations.
• Return, relocate, or properly store excess and unused material.
• Escalate shortages, missing material, location problems, or other conditions that could impact production.
