Job summary

International Wire High-Performance Conductors, a Pantheon Electric Company, is seeking a Process Engineer I – Materials & Metallurgy in Inman, SC. You will join a world-class manufacturing team to apply metallurgy, materials science, and process engineering to improve conductor production.

You will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Leadership to optimize processes, drive continuous improvement, and deliver high-performance conductor products for North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering or related field.
• Experience in process engineering in industrial manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of materials science and metallurgical principles for conductor materials and wire manufacturing.
• Experience with process optimization, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and CI methodologies.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing processes to improve quality, productivity, yield, and cost efficiency.
• Apply materials science and metallurgical principles to evaluate conductor materials and methods.
• Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and reduce variation.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Support new product development, process validation, and production rollout.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering teams on improvements.
• Lead Lean/Six Sigma projects and maintain process documentation.
