We're partnering with a global industrial manufacturer to find a Materials Manager who can lead procurement, inventory management, and supplier strategy in a manufacturing environment.

We're partnering with a global industrial manufacturer to find a Materials Manager who can lead procurement, inventory management, and supplier strategy in a manufacturing environment. This is a critical leadership role with a fast-paced, complex operation that needs someone who thrives on solving real problems, improving processes, and driving results with a team. This leader will provide direction, coaching, and structure, and help bring clarity and accountability to daily execution and long-term sourcing strategy.

Description

• Lead and coach a team of 5
• Drive vendor expansion, global sourcing strategy, and cost savings
• Own inventory health - organize, optimize, and right-size for agility
• Manage global suppliers across Asia, Europe, and the Americas
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams
• Solve freight and tariff challenges with strategic sourcing and multi-sourcing
• Be the go-to person for process clarity, coaching, and getting things done
• Interface directly with global support teams (India, China)

Profile

• 7+ years in materials management, including 3+ years of team leadership
• Experience in industrial manufacturing
• Proven track record managing global supply chains and multiple suppliers
• Strong with ERP systems, ideally SAP
• Able to coach individuals but also hold them accountable to results
• Someone who gets energized by problem-solving and helping a team win
• Experience in a larger manufacturing environment ($50M+ preferred)
• Calm under pressure, but moves fast - comfortable with ambiguity
• Direct communicator, leadership presence, and team-first mentality
• Comfortable being onsite full time - no remote option
• Procurement strategy / vendor savings project experience
• Experience working with overseas vendors and time zones
• Prior success building process
