Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee the Materials Department, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels at the Walker, MI plant. You will lead production scheduling, procurement, and warehousing while promoting safety, ownership, and teamwork.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 5+ years in materials planning/scheduling with leadership experience; a Bachelor’s in Supply Chain/Logistics is preferred; Plex Systems ERP, GM Supply Power, and Honda

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 5+ years in Materials Planner, Materials Scheduler, or related role.
• Leadership experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics preferred.
• Experience with Plex Systems ERP preferred.
• Experience in automotive industry preferred.
• Experience with GM Supply Power or Honda Web preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Materials Department to meet on-time delivery.
• Manage inventory levels and cycle counts for accuracy.
• Coordinate procurement, receipt, and storage of raw materials.
• Schedule production and monitor capacity to support operations.
• Maintain warehouse organization and shipping operations.
• Provide excellent customer service and order tracking.
