Responsibilities

This role leads Materials Management activities at the Saegertown facility, supporting the Parker WIN Strategy. It involves developing and executing strategies within a lean enterprise environment, focusing on people, organization, process, and information technology. Key objectives include enhancing customer experience (LISC) and optimizing inventory.

Essential Functions:

  1. Promote and foster a safe work environment.
  2. Serve as the plant process owner for inventory management; audit processes to ensure policy adherence and support inventory goals.
  3. Lead management and corrective actions for late backlog.
  4. Implement lean principles in materials management, including material flow and inventory control.
  5. Support demand forecasting and supply planning to ensure material and product availability at minimum cost.
  6. Assist with facility capacity planning and SIOP activities.
  7. Analyze inventories, develop projections, and execute plans to meet DSI goals and improve customer service.
  8. Review key customer LISC performance, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions for on-time delivery.
  9. Establish and maintain standard re-order and delivery procedures.
  10. Utilize data analysis and information technology to improve performance.
  11. Ensure part data accuracy and support strategic MRP parameter implementation to enhance customer experience.
  12. Communicate significant LISC and backlog exposures with customer-facing teams.
  13. Develop team members' skills and ensure a talent pipeline for key functions.
  14. Lead and support plant, GM, and presidential-level kaizen teams.

Qualifications

Work Experience (Required):

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of applicable experience in materials management, supply chain, or operations.

Education (Required):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field; Professional Certifications such as APICS or ISM preferred.

Preferred:

  • Supply Chain Training Program, e.g., Parker Executive Development Program.
