Job summary

Adient US LLC is seeking a Materials Manager at the West Point facility to oversee all Materials functions including inventory, quality, pricing and delivery. You will align with the Plant Manager to develop production plans and forecasts and ensure compliance with BOS and ISO/IATF-16949 standards.

The role requires coordinating forecasts, monitoring inventory adjustments, and driving efficient Plant MRP activities while identifying waste and maintaining regulatory compliance across federal,

Qualifications

• Experience managing materials, inventory, and related processes.
• Ability to develop production plans and forecasts in coordination with Operations.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (federal/state/local) impacting materials.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Plant Manager, manage Materials functions including inventory, quality, pricing and delivery.
• Comply with BOS, ISO/IATF-16949 and Customer Specific requirements; reference BOS matrix.
• Develop production plans and forecasts with Operations Manager.
• Develop sales forecasts and adjust when release information changes.
• Monitor inventory adjustments and cycle counting.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with applicable laws.
• Manage Plant MRP requirements to meet customer expectations at efficient cost.
• Identify waste contributing to plant inventory shrink.
• Develop and update Materials procedures for work centers.
• Participate in Health, Safety and Environmental program and implement related policies.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Materials Manager manages Materials functions, including but not limited to inventory, quality, pricing and delivery.
• Comply with all BOS, ISO/IATF-16949 and Customer Specific requirements. Reference the ADIENT BOS Responsibilities Matrix for all requirements related to this job title.
• Works in conjunction with Operations Manager to develop production plans and forecasts.
• Develops sales forecasts and adjusts when release information indicates changes.
•  Monitors inventory adjustments and cycle counting.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with federal, state and local laws, including CPTAT.
• Manages Plant MRP requirements to meet customer expectations at the most efficient cost to the business.
• Identifies waste throughout the plant, with special attention to items contributing to plant inventory shrink.
• Develops and updates any Materials procedures affecting any area of assigned work centers.
• Participates in the Health, Safety and Environmental program by following all policies, procedures and work instructions that may include safety rules, safety observation audits, regulatory compliance, environmental awareness and audits, and continuous improvement.
