Job summary

Superior Trim Formed Products is seeking a driven Materials Manager to oversee supplier relationships, control inventories, and coordinate inbound logistics for our truck and commercial vehicle components. The role focuses on creating SRs, optimizing stock levels, and implementing cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in materials, purchasing, or logistics, with an associate degree and a bachelor’s degree preferred in business or supply chain.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing suppliers and negotiating pricing.
  • Experience in purchasing, materials or logistics management.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Create Supplier Releases (SRs).
  • Manage inventory levels and accuracy.
  • Lead cost-savings initiatives in materials purchasing and handling.
  • Drive continuous improvement in materials processes.

Throughout the Gardner family’s ownership of Superior Trim, we have made, and continue to make, significant investments to ensure that Superior Trim has all of the appropriate technologies in-house and available to produce cost-competitive, high-quality interior and exterior trim products for medium/heavy duty trucks and other commercial vehicles that our customers expect.

Superior Trim Formed Products is looking for a driven candidate to join our team as a materials manager. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in managing suppliers, controlling inventory, and coordinating in-bound logistics.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create Supplier Releases
  • Inventory Management
  • Lead materials cost savings initiatives
  • Continuous Materials Improvement

An ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing materials, purchasing, or logistics
  • Associates degree, bachelor's degree preferred, in business, supply chain, or related field
  • Experience managing suppliers and negotiating pricing
