Job summary

Overview

We're Hiring: Materials Manager | Manufacturing Operations Leader

Are you a strategic supply chain and materials management professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Do you have a passion for inventory optimization, production planning, team leadership, and driving operational excellence?

We're looking for an experienced Materials Manager to lead our materials planning, inventory control, production scheduling, forecasting, and warehouse operations while ensuring seamless support of our manufacturing processes and customer commitments. This will be an onsite position at our North Wales, PA facility. We are looking for local candidates.

What You\'ll Do
  • Lead materials planning, production scheduling, inventory control, and warehouse operations
  • Develop and oversee short- and long-term inventory and production plans
  • Manage Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Coordinate supplier releases and material forecasts to support production demands
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, cycle counting, FIFO processes, and physical inventories
  • Analyze capacity, production performance, backlog, and customer requirements to drive on-time delivery
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain teams
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping
  • Develop and track KPIs related to inventory performance, delivery, fill rates, and production efficiency
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing materials team
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Production Planning & Scheduling, Inventory Control, Supply Chain Operations, or Manufacturing Environments
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing materials, inventory, or production control teams
  • Strong experience with MRP Systems, Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Capacity Planning, Forecasting, and Inventory Optimization
  • ERP experience required
  • Infor LN experience required
  • JD Edwards experience highly desired
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP, CPSM) preferred
