Oregon State University is seeking a Materials Manager in Campus Services to lead materials management, campus mail, shipping, recycling and surplus operations. You will set strategic direction and ensure a sustainable waste-management program with trash disposal as a last resort.
The role reports to the Director of Campus Services and requires supervising multiple staff, budgeting, and developing long-range plans. Strong collaboration across departments is essential.

The Campus Services Department is seeking a Materials Manager. This is a full-time (1.00FTE),12-month, professional faculty position.
Reporting to the Director of Campus Services, the Materials Manager oversees the materials management operation comprised of campus mail and shipping, recycling and surplus units. The managers has the responsibility to work with University departments to establish and manage contracts, to oversee the transfer, sale, or disposal of all University surplus property, and to set strategic direction to maintain a comprehensively sustainable waste management program with trash disposal as a last resort.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.
