Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital is seeking a Materials Management professional. You will monitor, stock, and transport supplies across departments, ensuring timely deliveries and accurate inventory tracking.

Responsibilities include identifying defective items, disposing of expired materials, and potentially operating a forklift and related equipment. Some off-site deliveries may be required, with attention to safety and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant materials management experience.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and 21+ years of age at hire.
  • Ability to operate forklifts may be required.
  • Experience with stock monitoring and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors, stocks, and transports supplies for assigned areas.
  • Identifies, removes and disposes of defective or expired items.
  • Ensures timely delivery of supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Maintains accurate tracking records in the inventory system.
  • May travel to off-site locations to deliver supplies.
  • Operates hydraulic lift, forklift, and pallet jack as needed.

Weekend Requirements: As Needed | Work Hours: 2-10:30pm 40hrs/week | Status: Full Time - 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) | Entity: Owensboro Health Regional Hospital | Department: Materials ManagementJob SummaryMonitors, stocks, and transports supplies and/or equipment for assigned area(s) within the organization.Job ResponsibilitiesMonitors and maintains stock levels.Identifies, removes and disposes of defective or expired items.Ensures timely delivery of supplies and equipment as needed and requested.Investigates and troubleshoots any inventory issues/problems.Maintains accurate tracking records for all inventory. This may include the update and maintenance of the Omnicell database.Transfers and credits stock to department(s) in the inventory system.May be required to travel to off-site locations to deliver supplies.May be responsible for the operation of hydraulic lift, fork lift, and pallet jack.May be required to receive packages from loading dock and confirm receipts in Workday via purchase order (PO) number.May investigate and trouble shoot Omni cell issues.May clear machines and correct inventory.May conduct cycle counts to ensure inventories are correct.May fill in other job responsibilities for absent staff.May assist outside staff with entering orders into system.Skills and AttributesRequires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.Works under general supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Applies more advanced skills and knowledge in the area of specialization.Work ExperienceA minimum of 2 years relevant experience preferredEducationHigh school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher preferredLicensure/Certification/RegistrationDriver - Valid driver's license and 21 years of age required upon hireOrganizational ResponsibilitiesAdheres to all organizational policies and procedures.
