Materials Management Operator II - Logistics

Responsibilities
- Read and compare identifying information of incoming merchandise, verifying against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and process transactions for raw materials and MRO items.
- Examine incoming shipments for external package damage, document shortages, and process claims for incomplete or damaged merchandise.
- Control production and distribution supplies by obtaining quotes and placing purchase requisitions for replacement shipping materials and production supplies.
- Operate electric forklift and pallet jack to move merchandise from receiving or shipping platform to storage or delivery vehicles.
- Drive company van to transport products or materials when required.
- Route movement of incoming shipments or items from receiving to storage, work area, or requested requisitions.
- Receive all raw material and merchandise from vendors/suppliers in the receiving area and prepare for incoming inspection.
- Identify system‑assigned lot numbers, prepare quarantine labels, and create receiving travelers.
- Prepare shipping documentation for damaged items designated for return to vendor.
- Interface with Materials, Purchasing, and Accounting Departments to submit reports for processing.
- Coordinate delivery methods for return merchandise, raw materials, finished goods, and sterilization shipments.
- Report vendor/supplier performance according to established criteria on a timely basis.
- Verify packing slips data for sterilization lots and coordinate transport to and from sterilization contractors.
- Picks and packs all finished goods shipments.
- Invoices finished goods shipments and distributes related documents to pertinent areas, processing credits and debits as required.
- Prepares airway bills and coordinates pick‑ups for all shipments.
- Prepares mailing of outgoing correspondence and postal pick‑up of incoming correspondence.
- Performs other related duties as requested by the supervisor.
- Maintains and distributes optimum inventory levels for shipping materials and production supplies to meet shipment due dates and avoid production downtime.
- Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel for repair.
- Maintains a clean and organized warehouse area to avoid accidents or hazardous conditions.
- Updates open orders and maintains receiving documentation properly filed and organized, distributing related documents to user areas.
Desired Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma (required).
- Previous experience in a similar position preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse-related functions in a regulated environment.
- Ability to prepare documentation and reports.
- Experience working with a computer system to input data (Office, Oracle).
- Ability to read and understand English; bilingual preferred.
- Self‑starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
Salary and Benefits
Hourly rate: $11.06 – $15.48 USD, based on role, level, and location.
