Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Materials Management Distribution Technician in Kennewick, WA. This PRN/part-time role focuses on issuing medical supplies, shipping/receiving, and delivering patient care equipment while maintaining a clean storeroom and accurate inventory control.

The position requires a High School Diploma, a valid driver's license, and 1-3 years of materials management experience; healthcare materials management certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education High School Diploma Required.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Licenses: Valid Driver's License.
  • Minimum Work Experience 1-3 years experience in Materials Management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Issuing medical and surgical supplies from inventory, shipping and receiving.
  • Delivery of supplies and patient care equipment, cleaning as needed.
  • Customer service and inventory control; report to Director of Materials Management.
  • Fills stores requisitions and alerts buyers to stock outs.

How you'll Contribute:
A Materials Management Distribution Technician is responsible for issuing of medical and surgical supplies from our inventory, shipping and receiving, delivery of supplies, cleaning and delivery of patient care equipment, customer service and inventory control. Reports to: Director, Materials Management

  • Answers and records all orders from serviced areas.
  • Fills stores requisitions and delivers supplies to ordering department.
  • Alerts buyer to potential stock out situations.
  • Charge supplies to various departments.
  • Keeps storeroom clean and orderly.
  • Checks all areas on Par Level System and the storeroom for outdated supplies.
  • Performs additional duties, as assigned.

  • Certifications: Healthcare Materials Management Certification preferred.
  • Licenses: Valid Driver's License
