Job summary

Kindred Hospital Northland seeks an on-site stock room clerk to manage the receipt and distribution of medical supplies. You will maintain inventory accuracy and support billing with chargeable supply data. Strong confidentiality and teamwork are essential for routine operations.

Responsibilities include verifying PO accuracy, forwarding POs to AP, keeping the stockroom clean and compliant, and assisting with physical inventories as part of a patient-centered hospital team.

• Ensures stock room is clean, safe and orderly.
• Obtains data on chargeable supplies used by each patient and transfers to the billing system.
• Assists with physical inventory.
• Complies with Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws and standards.

Job Summary

Essential Functions

• Assists with supply check-in and verify against purchase order.
• Forwards purchase orders and packing slips to Accounts Payable.
• Distributes supplies to appropriate location.
• Maintains a cost requisition system.
• Assures that the stock room is clean, safe and orderly.
• Obtains data on chargeable supplies used by each patient and transfer the information into the computer system for billing.
• Assists with physical inventory.
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient and/or employee information to assure patient and/or employee rights are protected.
• Understands the principles of growth and development for the entire lifespan and ability to provide care appropriate for adult and geriatric patients as appropriate to the patient population.
• Ability to communicate in English effectively through verbal and written means to the extent necessary to perform job duties appropriately. Reading and comprehension at level necessary to perform job duties appropriately.
• Ability to work under stress and to respond quickly in emergency situations. Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
• Demonstrates good interpersonal skills when working or interacting with patients, their families and other staff members.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent including education equivalent to completion of secondary school or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the role. (Preferred)
