Job summary

Rimkus is seeking an entry-level Materials Laboratory Technician in Mooresville, NC. You will perform a range of lab tests, support project managers and engineers, and help manage samples and documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Materials or Mechanical Engineering and demonstrate strong communication, organization, and teamwork. The role offers a full benefits package, with growth potential and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Eng. or Mechanical Eng. required/preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Strong interpersonal, poise, tact, and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing on a wide variety of projects and assist with project management tasks.
• Occasionally interact with clients during testing.
• Catalog and organize project storage and documentation.
• Operate lab equipment under direction of project manager.
• Perform routine tests such as macro/micro photography, mechanical and chemical analyses, hardness testing.
• Maintain lab equipment and assist with inventory and repair.
