Job summary

Oatey is seeking college students for its 2027 Summer Internship Program, a 12-week experience designed to provide meaningful work, professional growth, and networking within a diverse team. The program often leads to post-graduation employment for top performers.

The Materials Intern will work with supply chain planning and purchasing teams, supporting demand planning, inventory distribution and KPI analysis while interacting with plants, DCs, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills.
• High competency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Good communication skills.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support administrative tasks including collecting and analyzing data for inventory reports, backorder reports, fill reports, and other key drivers of performance.
• Assist with creating and managing production orders, purchase orders, transfer orders, and other support activities.
• Communicate effectively in person, via email, and by phone with plants, distribution centers, logistics partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Gain exposure to all functional departments within Oatey and develop a thorough overview of the supply chain function.
