Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Warehouse Worker in the Receiving/Distribution area of the Logistics Service within the VA Health Care System. You will receive, store, select, and ship general and specialized bulk materials and equipment.

Responsibilities include preparing shipping and inventory documents, rotating stock, handling hazardous materials, and making off-site deliveries within the facility. Work schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:45am-4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse work involving receiving, storing, selecting and shipping of general or specialized bulk materials and equipment.
• Loading and unloading materials; routing to correct locations or storage areas.
• Ability to prepare shipping and inventory documents for manual or automated systems.
• Experience or ability to understand safety and dexterity requirements for warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receives, stores and ships bin and bulk supplies, materials and equipment.
• Prepares shipping and inventory documents for manual or automated systems.
• Selects storage locations within the warehousing plan and rotates stock.
• Handles materials including hazardous, flammable, and temperature-sensitive products.
• Loads/unloads shipments from trucks and communicates discrepancies in stock.
