Position Summary
The Materials Handler ensures the proper and timely flow of all materials and products from arrival until they are stored or shipped, following established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment, while adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Receive, stock, and disburse parts or materials, load/unload trucks, and distribute materials to team members as required.
  2. Unpack and verify goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
  3. Maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items.
  4. Examine stocks and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  5. Prepare and maintain records of shipped merchandise.
  6. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  7. Post weights and shipping charges, and prepare goods for final shipment.
  8. Perform other assigned responsibilities.
  9. Maintain regular, punctual attendance; may require night/weekend shifts and additional hours.

Qualifications:

  1. Ability to write, communicate, and use math skills effectively.
  2. Knowledge of cycle counting.
  3. Skilled in operating powered industrial trucks, material handling equipment, and small hand tools.
  4. Basic computer skills.
  5. Ability to work within a structured environment following written and oral instructions with minimal supervision.
  6. Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with relevant work experience.
  • Vocational training, apprenticeships, or related experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2+ years relevant experience.
